A short update on what's been happening around here.We have been slowly moving to the new place bringing boxes over and giving the place a little sprucing. Hubby has been working like a beeh on his DIY projects, Bunnings sees him more often than usual. I have come to the realisation that if you have the right tools , anything is pretty much do-able, same rule applies for everything else I suppose. One of the beauty of being in Australia is that people are pretty much self reliant, this place encourages independence like no other. People take things a little for granted in other parts of the world mainly in ahem ahem Asia , where a tradesman is called in for the simplest of household maintenance. I am proud to say that we are both enjoying this nesting project and learning the tricks of the trade as we go along, I am not of much help due to the expanding belly, I feel like Humpty Dumpty . The hubby though calls me a Prison Warden as I sit in my comfy chair and delegate. "Move this box here and do this and do that!". I never knew I could be quite the boss, Oooo the things you get away with when pregnant! The pregnancy has been going ok or so I pray. I wish I had an ultrasound machine at home to relieve my paranoia, someone slap me! :D The good thing is that I've been feeling the baby flutter and will see my Obgyn in 2 weeks. Thats when we'll know the baby's gender. At the last ultrasound I thought I saw a little tinky winky but the Ob wasn't willing to confirm it! I'd like to know so that I can shop but it's been good that I don't which hasn't led to any impulse shopping. I've been busily window shopping and boy I've seen sooooo many lovely things I'd like to buy and have listed it all in my trusted shopping diary. I envisage a shopping rampage soon! My sister has nicknamed the baby Molly and hopes it's a girl ... what about you girls? Do you think it's a boy or a girl? Lets hear your guesses!
By the way on another note, seeing that many of you have participated in the I saw red week hosted by Sadie Olive. I thought of joining in the fun and doing red Perth style.
Vrooom vrooom...
Driving in Perth is pretty much traffic free, the only thing you don't want to get stuck in is one of these railway crossings. It takes like forever for the trains to pass by and I really mean forever.
When the weathers lovely, I love driving to the Perth foreshore to say hello to these Swan River inhabitants. Red is so the colour for the lips!Much Blogging Love

Good to read from you again!! Great to hear that you are doing ok. Being tired and bossing around just goes with the pregancy...the bossing around will never stop, at least hasn't in my case ;-). We humans are really just like animals and you know which animal is the most dangerous...the female with kiddies...
Now for the guessing I really should know a couple of things about you. Like round belly, pointy belly and how is your hair doing, but ok without knowing that I'll guess a boy!! Don't know why, just a hunch!
Have a great weekend! hugs L.
Isn't it wonderful to feel those baby flutters for the very first time. In no time it will feel like he/she is kicking its way out.
Great red for I Saw Red

Glad your pregnancy is going well and can't wait to hear the babies gender.
My sister in law just found out she's having a boy so now the shopping can begin!!

Adla, i am so glad that your pregnancy is going well...aren't those first flutters the best?
great reds!!!
i guess girl:)
Ha! enjoy your delegating time as much as you can, as it wont last long lol!! :0)) Thanks for the trip around Perth, always love to go back for a visit to see what I remember. I do remember the train crossings, here in melbourne the cars take off soon as the gates are up. In perth they wait patiently till the last light stops flashing. A much more laid back lifestyle for sure!

Adla what beautiful shots you have taken! I love the red wheeled Cadilac, but my lord, the goose! My fave...and honey child, if you think you rule the roost now, just wait til the wee one gets here...are you in for a rude awakening, lol! I hope she's a little girl, cause every little boy needs a big sister!
hugs
Sandi

When I was pregnant with my first my father gave me the nick name "Humpty Dumpty". I was getting quite large. Unfortunately he passed away 8 weeks before my son was born 10lb5oz and 57cm long!
When I was having my second EVERYONE thought I was having a boy even the doctor doing the ultrasound, I knew I was having a girl so I was the only one who wasn't surprised when she arrived.
Your mention of Humpty Dumpty just took me for a trip down memory lane!
I'm going with the first thing that popped into my head - a boy. The next test is 100% accurate isn't it not like the old ultrasound? (mine were done 15 years ago!)
The thing about the traffic- you've obviously traveled more than I have. I find the traffic in Perth is getting worse and worse. I hate driving on the freeway and some of the major roads are packed with HUGE trucks!
Hmmm... I think it's a boy! Maybe your picture of the little red car is a sign! Wish you all the luck of the world with your pregnancy and your moving-things!!!
Hi Adla, thanks so much for stopping by my blog for a visit during "I Saw Red " week. I had so much playing along. I just read some of your posts and I love everything.....your blog is a delight. I will be returning again and adding you to my list of favorites.
Glad you're OK Adla, loved this post, oh I do remember the baby flutters, I think something I will never ever forget...wow and my youngest is 21! Take care and keep posting when you can so we know you are OK
xo
Hi Adla,
Glad to hear all is going well with the pregnancy.
I have no idea what you are having and I'd be the last person you would ask. With my first preganacy I had a little problem which meant I had to have ultrasounds every 2 weeks. We definitely knew it was a girl yet I refused to believe it and felt sooooo sure it was a boy that I even made blue curtains. To this day I still don't know why I felt so strongly about the sex of the baby but clearly I was wrong and now I have 2 beautiful little girls. Must have been those pregnancy hormones!!!!
Keep delegating and rest up.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
I love the red pics Adla!
wow bubba is fluttering around! I remember that first feeling, thinking it was my tummy grumbling then realising it was different.
I'm guessing a girl too, no reason, i've got a 50% chance of being right huh?!!!
Adla, thank you for the b-day wishes and stopping in for a quick hello! My day was Xtra special thanks to you guys!
Love the red and to read about the new baby... I say it'll be a girl!
Hope the move is going smoothly...
I'll be making my own move soon (in aug) during the hottest month of the year... what am I thinking? lol ~Monica :)
