A little update on the revamp...

Boy! The revamp attempt on Vintage Delights prove to be a lot more complicated than I imagined. I hope all the fidgeting around with html pays off in the long run. So what were the changes I made you may wonder. For starters ,I added an additional sidebar column to the blog and I'm glad that came along quite easily. So what this means is that I now have a sidebar on each side of my main posting column, which will allow me to add a lot more of Vintage Delights treasured links. Let the hoarding begin here, the more the merrier! :) Vintage Delights Banner had a bit of a facelift too. I didn't really have an issue with the last one but I thought of having something like a bulletin board where I'll post little notes of what's happening here on the blog and in my shop. It's taken me awhile to embrace the new banner but I'm sure it'll work out great for the blog. I've added buttons under the banner to make the blog a bit more user friendly. I have not linked them all but it is all work in progress. So hang in there while I fidget more with this blog and get it all in order.

So revamping aside, I have a zillion and one things to share with you all. My idea of featuring some of my crafty friends from around Perth is coming pretty smoothly and has sparked a lot of interest , so be on the watch out for that. I will need the red carpet rolled out and the drummers ready to rock soon. I went to a gift and craft show on the weekend, spent some time with my lovely friends and along the way bought some pretty crafts.Now you are are probably wondering whats with the pictures of pears. Well recently I had watched this antique show on t.v about avid collectors. They featured a lady who loves collecting ornaments of pears in all different sizes and colours.It was something about the shape of this beautiful fruit that had sparked her collecting craze. Seeing all of her pears beautifully arranged around her house made me hungry for apple pears ( my favourite kind of pear) . Ever since watching the show I have had this urge to borrow her concept and start my own pear collection. Well what do you know, it's begun.Was so happy to find some pears at the craft show.They are by Lisa at Looby Lou. She makes pears and other pretties too.If you are interested in any of her pears, leave me a note and I'll arrange to get them for you too. The pears are priced at around $5 each.
