Relaxation issues and flea find episode 6

I have come to a conclusion that I am a hyperactive person. I get jittery if I have nothing planned for the day.I panic at the thought of time passing and things being unaccomplished. My energy seems boundless at times (I'm fuelled by m&ms).Initially I started creating and sourcing for Vintage Delights to waste time and keep busy.Well busy I was kept for sure but it's now turning into a mad rush to complete orders and create enough for the fairs. In other words it's turned into a full time business. The I should do this and I should do that list plays on my mind constantly and tick tick tick done goes the the brain as I accomplish each task. Well I should be happy that my big blue book is staying alive. I know that this rather intense characteristic of mine has it's good grounding, however I have issues with relaxing and that's where the problem lies. Yes you heard right, I don't relax enough. I've told myself time and again to take time off and just lay back and not do anything. You know just to breathe in the moment, thoughts switched off, phones plugged out , feet stretched and to embrace the relaxation. And lets just say this process has not been happening much or need I say close at all for me. I do know that I would not like to end up like dull Jack, who was all work and no play. SO the question is how do I psyche myself to relax ? Just don't suggest shopping therapy.Shopping has my intensity button lighted up in green at all times.Would love to hear how you girls embrace relaxation, do share your thoughts with me.

I had promised myself after last weeks fair that I would shut the crafting table for a few days. Well, I promised myself wrong( relaxation disaster). I went and sneaked in time to create for the ornament swap. My partner is the sweet Kerryanne from Shabby Art Boutique. Do check out her website. She is such a lovely and talented person. This week I was swamped with inspiration to create a special ornament for her and here's a sneak peek collage on what I've been working on.And then ,I had a good run around Perth on the weekend sourcing for more vintage finds. This week I scored a few things in shades of yellow and green ( by pure coincidence). Happy to be adding these soothing colours to Vintage Delights growing collection.Tying in with the theme of relaxation, I think some of these treasures are telling me something.
A vintage Grafton tea set in pale yellow.
Have it served with camomile or green tea.And how about a bite of cupcake on top of that! This faux cupcake is designed by a local Perth artist I met at the fair named Lesley.
A pampering piece .A vintage inspired oil bath decanter.
The embossed rose details on this pitcher, is just too sweet.
A pretty print by Charles Burton Barber of a little girl tearfully standing at
a corner called In Disgrace. These faux mercury bottles make me go Ooo la la, the caps have a beautiful tinge of green thats not showing that cleary in the picture.
And a bell for me to ring.Wishes it comes with a genie to grant my sweetest wishes.
Hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I enjoyed sharing.

Much blogging love from the blogger learning to relax,
Adla
