A short update on what's been happening at Vintage Delights. My creation table has seen me busy creating with the candy coloured toile I posted about some time back.Amidst the creations, I had a tingling in the creative part of my brain. Decided to give a funky twist to what's ordinarily pretty shabby. Check out my ballerinas with their spunky hairdo.Working with mixed media is really great for some one like me, fickle as can be when it comes to choice of medium. I sometimes feel like I'm really stuck in the 80's because I can't really comprehend with less is best. My taste in things is very much over the top, I like things with beads, ribbons ,frills and trims. I've been told that I'd probably be very happy and fashionable if I lived in the 18th century, dressed up in yards of lace with a pretty parasol in hand travelling on a horse carriage. Haha Can you just imagine!Talking horse carriages, I went to a State Trust Auction on the weekend, they were auctioning horse carriages and so many other beautiful antique collectibles.I came late because I did'nt know they were having an auction in the first place and by the time I arrived everything was gone. It was truly dissapointing as I was told some of the items were going for dirt cheap. Boo hoo hoo.I'll have to wait another 40 years for the next State auction.Anyway no point brooding, I leave you with some pictures of my creations. I'll post more along the way. I'm off to the post office to pick up more of Vintage Delights Embellishments.Ta for now.
Much Love, Adla
