Bake me some hearts

Maintaining a blog is time consuming and hard work, anyone share my sentiment? The same time spent dilly dallying perfecting my layout and typing my 'story for the day' can actually see me do more in the kitchen. The reason for my absence and delayed entries is because the past week has seen me baking to the moon and back. My obsession ( I know I have many) but this ones with the kitchen, sparked when I was about 8. My mum (not a fan of the kitchen) decided to enrol me in a professional cooking class to make her life easier. Since then, I have mastered the skills of clanging pots, chopping knives and unruly mess."These are life skills Adla, LIFE SKILLS," emphasizes my dear mother who is proud of my achievement, Thanks Mum for equipping me well and good ;). Having an advantage with those so called life skills, I conquered the home oven. A battle I solely created, fought and won. In my sisters words,' why bake when you can buy Tim Tams'. True :) I do buy my Tims Tams but still enjoy baking for mere pleasure . Here are a few snapshots of what I've been whisking in the kitchen . Oh and I'm joining in the fun of Jenn and Jacqui's heart tag, I've dug out a handful of heart shaped treasures from the kitchen.Till my next post Bon apettite!
